About Us

With extensive experience and insight of the insurance industry across many borders, Michael has held a number of key positions including that of Chief Executive and Actuary with international insurance organisations. He has also been a highly respected consultant and advisor to the industry for nearly 45 years. These varied roles include investment committee membership, risk oversight and other related governance experiences. 

His understanding of governance and the importance of regulatory bodies include being an approved person for the UK’s PRA and FCA. 

He read for a B.Sc. (Hons) degree in Mathematics at Imperial College of Science and Technology, London, and is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.

With a career spanning over 45 years, Angela started in the financial services industry. During this period she acquired expertise in areas of financials, information technology and all aspects of the insurance industry both in Malta and overseas, with international organizations. 

Angela played a pivotal role during the conversion process of Citadel from an insurance agency to a licensed composite insurer in 1997. She has held an executive director role at Citadel Insurance P.l.c. since inception and was appointed as the Company’s Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, in 2012. 

Angela continues to lead the company’s development and growth ever since and was instrumental in the creation and setting up of Spiral Insurance Brokers PCC, the fully owned subsidiary broking arm of Citadel.

As a financial structuring professional, a Malta individual investor programme agent and the managing director of a financial consulting firm, David specializes in advising and structuring corporations, fiduciary matters, financial matters and multi-family offices.

Zammit has lived and worked in Switzerland as a senior vice president for a Swiss structured products and asset management firm, where he oversaw U.K., French and Italian markets. 

Before that, he worked for six years with an international insurance company in Italy, where he he held various position within the CEO’s office and rose to senior reinsurance underwriter. 

Zammit earned his MBA in corporate finance from SDA Bocconi School of Management, his Master’s in International Economics from the Johns Hopkins University SAIS Bologna Centre, and his Bachelor’s in International Relations from the University of Malta. 

Peter has worked in insurance for the last 44 years. He has been involved in insurance and mostly reinsurance broking, agency, insurer, insurance manager, bancassurance, captives, PCC broking. 

He has dealt with most classes of insurance including General business, Life and Aviation for the local airline. He is a Fellow of Insurance and an Associate of the Institute of Risk Management. 

He has been a senior lecturer at the University of Malta for the last 16 years and at the local insurance training centre for 35 years. 

He has travelled widely on insurance, reinsurance and lecturing to several countries in 4 different continents. His most recent roles include General Manager, Managing Director, and Executive Director for different companies.    

A Chartered Insurance Practitioner by profession, Alison is also an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (UK) and a Member of the Malta Insurance Institute.
 

Alison commenced her career in insurance in 2000 and has worked in agency, underwriting, broking and distribution roles over the past years in Europe and the Middle East.
 

She has occupied Managerial, Director and COO roles since 2009 and was instrumental in various initiatives for the Maltese market including the establishment of the first sports insurance product on the island.
 

Her main strengths lie in relationship, distribution and sales and she has excellent experience in Broking, Agency, Call Centre and Direct Sales as well as their respective personnel training and development and strategy system setups.
